How do I create a new game?
- Tap the + button on the Games tab
- Pick a built-in template, or tap Create your own to define a custom game type with rules, deck count, scoring schema, and a target score
- Add players (or load a saved player group)
- Start tracking scores
How do I create a custom game type?
When creating a new game, choose Create your own. You can name it (e.g. "Hand and Foot — house rules"), write the rules, set the deck count, choose the scoring schema (high score wins / low score wins / per round / cumulative), and define the win condition. Save it once and reuse it forever.
How do I share a game with everyone at the table?
Open the game, tap the share button, and enable collaboration. ScoreKeeper generates a 6-character code. Anyone else can tap Join Game in the app and enter the code. All connected devices see scores update in real time.
Does my data sync across my devices via iCloud?
Not actively. ScoreKeeper stores game data locally on each device. If you want a game to be visible on multiple devices, share it via the collaboration code — that uses our cloud sync, not iCloud. (iOS device backups via iCloud will include ScoreKeeper's local data per Apple's normal backup rules.)
How do I add players?
When creating or editing a game, tap Add Player and enter a name. You can also enter several names at once separated by commas (e.g. "Alice, Bob, Charlie"). Save your regular crew as a Player Group for one-tap setup next time.
Can I export my game data?
Yes. Go to Settings and choose Export (export is also available from the Statistics screen). Export covers your whole game library — there is no per-game export from a game's share menu. JSON is the full export; CSV is a summary with one row per game (name, date, game type) and does not include round-by-round scores.
How do I delete a game?
Swipe left on the game in the list and tap Delete.
How do I undo a score?
Tap the floating undo button at the bottom of the game screen, or just give your phone a small shake. Each undo step is precise — the app tracks who added each score.
What happens if I lose connection during a collaborative game?
You can keep adding scores offline. When the connection comes back, your scores sync to the other devices automatically. The app retries reconnection a few times in the background.
